Aluminum sheet cut on a fiber laser

Which aluminum for your part?

Three options cover nearly every project. Each datasheet details the thicknesses, tolerances and available operations.

Laser-cut 5052-H32 aluminum

5052-H32 Aluminum

The default sheet choice: it bends without cracking and stands up to salt and weather. Ideal for enclosures, bent brackets, marine parts and signs.

24 gauge to 1/2″ · bending up to 1/4″

See the 5052-H32 datasheet
Laser-cut 6061-T6 aluminum

6061-T6 Aluminum

A heat-treated, rigid and machinable alloy. Ideal for mounting plates, tapped plates and structural parts that stay flat.

18 gauge to 1/2″ · not bendable

See the 6061-T6 datasheet
Laser-cut aluminum checker plate

3003-H14 Checker Plate

A light, non-slip surface that won't rust. Ideal for steps, ramps, truck boxes and flooring.

1/8″, 3/16″ and 1/4″ · bendable

See the checker plate datasheet

Aluminum cutting FAQ

Which aluminum should I choose for a bent part?

5052-H32. It bends without cracking from 24 gauge up to 1/4″. Heat-treated 6061-T6 is too hard for tight bends: keep it for flat parts.

Can laser-cut aluminum parts be anodized?

Yes, on 5052-H32, 6061-T6 and checker plate. The part needs a hole so it can hang in the bath, and the maximum anodizable size is 23″ × 23″.

What is the maximum aluminum thickness?

1/2″ in 5052-H32 and 6061-T6. Checker plate is available in 1/8″, 3/16″ and 1/4″.

Is there a minimum quantity?

No, you can order from a single part. The minimum order is $49, free shipping across Canada included, and parts ship in 4 to 8 business days.
