Design Step

The design step allows adding specific operations to your part.

The Design Step

The design step is where you can add two specific operations to your part: bending and engraving. These operations are only available when eligible for the chosen material.

Specific Operations

Depending on the previously selected material, you can add bending operations (for metals) and engraving (laser or mechanical).

Automatic Detection

If a bend line was identified when importing your drawing, it will automatically appear in an element list for processing.

Four Processing Options

For each detected line, you have four possible choices: ignore the line, cut it, bend it or engrave it. Depending on chosen option, we will execute the corresponding operation on your part.

Bend Parameters

For bending, we also ask you to specify the bend angle and direction (up or down) for precise execution.

Identify Elements to Engrave

If you want to select elements to engrave, choose Identify element to engrave tab and select the different shapes you want to engrave instead of cut.

Multiple Selection

Select all elements you wish to engrave. Each selected shape will be processed according to the engraving type you chose.

Engraved Elements Visualization

When shapes are selected, they will appear in the viewer in cyan or blue color, depending on chosen engraving type. This allows you to visually verify your selection before proceeding.

Fill or Line Engraving

Choose fill engraving to fill the interior of identified shapes, or line to simply trace the outline. Each method offers different visual rendering according to your needs.
